During the COVID-19 pandemic, our daughter faced the challenge of being isolated from loved ones and peers, and witnessed the impact it had on herself and her community. She was inspired to take action and help other struggling young people. Along with a friend, she conceived the idea of organizing a "Bike Drive" to collect new and used bicycles and helmets for donation to local children. Leveraging her platform through America National Miss (ANM), she succeeded in collecting over 400 bicycles. This initiative received an overwhelming response from the community, including Bob's Bikes, VAN Law Firm, and StorageOne.
As the temperatures soared in Las Vegas, we continued our community service efforts by organizing a "Homeless Walk" downtown, providing water, snacks, and hygiene supplies to those in need. As we became more involved, we recognized the limits of what we could accomplish on our own, even with the support of our small community. Despite the financial impact of our efforts, we remained committed to our mission.
In 2021, we established the Big Impact Foundation, with a focus on serving our community. Our daughter's creativity and kindness continue to inspire us, and we are eager to undertake additional projects to help young people in need and encourage them to become active volunteers in their communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact, and we remain committed to continuing our work to make a "BIG IMPACT" in Las Vegas and beyond.
